Expedition Journey

In 1978 Congress established the Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail as a part of the National Trails System. The 3,700-mile-long trail begins at Lewis and CLark Memorial in Illinois, and passes through Missorui, Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, South Dakota, North Dakota, Montana, Idaho, Washington, and Oregon.
